Dobrila Pintar, Glass Artist
Dobrila Pintar is the head designer and artist at Studio Dobrila and ElevenEleven Jewelry. Dobrila’s passion for glass beads started in 2007 at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago where she studied lamp-working, painting and metalsmithing. As her passion and skills grew, she was soon selected as Artist in Residence and later became an instructor. She has since been teaching a variety of glass bead classes at Lillstreet Art Center and Waterstreet Glass Works in Benton Harbor, Michigan. In 2011, she expanded her education by completing Abate Zanetti Glass Art Workshop in Murano, Italy where she was trained by some of the world’s most elite glass masters. Dobrila has also traveled throughout the United States for additional training with the American glass masters.
A European native, Dobrila was honored by being selected to exhibit her collection at the 10 year anniversary of the Slovenian Embassy in Washington D.C. in front of international diplomats. Dobrila Pintar creates her unique glass beads from her own studio at Bridgeport Art Center. Her focus is on creating glass bead jewelry, glass sculptures and education, offering a variety of workshops and private classes.
